Label for a limited edition wine that is different each year

Augoustiatis (from the word “Αύγουστος” greek for August) is a grape variety originally started many years ago from the island of Zakynthos. It is a rare variety, bearing in its body elements of the place where it sprouted. The last full moon of the new crop, the moon of August impacts each year’s wine, therefore creating tasteful variables.

We created a label featuring the phases of the August moon above the Zakynthian vineyard. The label's design is different each year to highlight the uniqueness of each year's wine. The two different types, red and white are distinguished by the different colour of the label. To reinforce the sophisticated character of the brand we commissioned copywriter Giorgos Emanouil to write a poem about the circle of life, the moon and of course, wine.
